Reading here I noticed that the ladies only stuff is completely hidden.  At the other place they aren't hidden, just forbidden.  My cell phone is narrow so I didn't notice that a thread was posted on the for girls only forum.  The poster's user name was obviously female but the question seemed applicable to male and female alike.  It didn't cross my mind that it could be forbidden.  I responded.  That was wrong.  I think I like this better where there is no chance of making that mistake.  This seems so much less childish.

Hi Folks. Decided to join this forum. The "other one" seems to be attracting too many snowflakes.
I don't live in a van, still in a house and working, but have a 35Ft motorhome I intend to start spending waaaay more time in.

I was reading an interesting thread on the Dark Side and came across this comment by a moderator while closing a thread:

"Every thread about homelessness ends up as a closed thread. Please do not post about homelessness unless it involves you personally."

It's nice that this won't happen here.

Hi, some of you may know me as pnolans.  I just joined.  

I've been on the road since last Jan 10 , 2017 .  My first night in my trailer was at the RTR 2017.  I met a lot of great people there. And I've had an interesting year, but it has still been the payoff for all of the other way-too-many years I've lived.  
This year has been the year that has made all of the others worthwhile.  

I've known some of the members here , virtually, for about 2 years.  I owe a debt to many of you; and will always wish you the best.  Thanks,

So...Im still debating on what to do with my truck bed space. Either cap it or truck camper. TC would be recreational so a cap seems like a better use for my bed.

A man who has been living in his truck since 2014 ran up $900 in tickets for his poor choices in parking spots, and his truck was impounded.  A judge has declared the truck his home, basing his decision on the 123-year-old Homestead Act that prevents a person's  home being sold to satisfy debts.  The news media is saying that this "could be a landmark decision".

The city can appeal, and I would bet they will.

I just found this site and it seems like a lot of people are here that I recognize. LOL! 

Anyway, I am back home in South Dakota recovering from heart surgery. That's why I haven't been online. I'm staying at my daughter's place until I get the all-clear from the doctor, and I'm getting really itchy feet and can't wait to hit the road.
