Hello!
Thinking about leaving out early next week. I'm taking my access card and hiking- don't care if it's cold!!
.gov sent m see to Denver for a monfh one year ago- swore I'd not spend another winter here!
Have white gas coleman, a panel running an Indel, sooo I shouldn't be spending $$ eating out.
I've always had $500 cars that lasted forever after being beat mercilessly, so not too afraid of problems.
I was a VSR for a year, so if you have VA Comp questions, DON'T ASK!
Seriously, i might be able to point you in the right direction.
I really like how there isn't a "You will die' post in every thread here, or another way to, um, put a certain liquid into some one's Wheaties, so to speak, when someone brings up an idea.
I like Colorado for the hiking, but not a doper, but it doesn't bother me.
No real idea where I'm heading/parking- my one attempt on a trip lead me to a steep, winding mountain road you couldn't park a Schwinn on, letalone a vehicle.
But Forest service had a little dot there ...
Further South sounds like park spot finding is more straightforward?
Hopefully people wouldn't giving pointers when it comes time?
Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at freecampsites.net yet? Are you planning on attending the RTR in January?

Probably that much in the bank - no eating out ?
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

Thanks, Vivo- there's few in N MN and few in Rapid City on free campsites, so sparse for those areas relative actual campsites
It's better out west?
Cars odometer stopped @ 286k ten years ago- changed time belt and water pump a few times. Then put slicks on it and did about 40 1/4 mile runs. Way past redline.
When will it fail?
And if it does; and it's important, fix it.
Alot of equipment on family farm is older that anyone here, some by decades. It works reliably.
And my neighbor bought a brand new Volvo, computer failed coming out of airport. There she sat in her new car.
New is new, and good is good.
But don't you stop, someone's gotta keep economy moving and supply me w cheap, used cars, LoL
Thanks for the welcomes, and the tip about campsites- need to revisit that soon!!
it's 34^F here and I'm curled up snug as a bug replying in the s-bag LoL

Hiya MN C Van and welcome! What's the "C" mean? Don't answer that, I like my unimaginative take. 8-) Best of luck and keep on having fun.

I used to live down near Rochester, MN. As a child I ran wild in whitewater state park and hunted MN, WI, and MI. Enjoy that fresh CO air!!! Best wishes to you.

C van is just short for 'Caravan', LoL.
There's so many, people just shorten it.
Hopefully you didn't have too good of a theory worked up!
Rochester is near unglaciated SE Minnesota- pretty compared to central barren plains. And Mayo Clinic- All the big shots come to MN for just them- King of Jordan was on my brother's plane a while back.
Travelling light is always a good idea. Just noticed it now has 222k on it, did remove and flush PS reservoir screen this AM, stupid chicken kept jumping up and upsetting the little drain cup.
He's obviously a Ford guy.
For what i paid, i could just push it in a lake tomorrow and still be ahead.
Thanks again, might catch some hiking b4 it rains
