Actually, everyone can disagree with me. But I've seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. A good friend of mine worked with LAPD for some years, and she heard it from the officers there. There are cops who shouldn't be cops. There are cops who 'go with the crowd' of other cops. There are good cops who can't do anything because of the way the laws are written. Here in W. WA, there are so many junkies and thieves (and combinations thereof), that virtually nothing is done. The cops will arrest them if the victim catches them, and they are taken in, information collected, they're fingerprinted, told to show up in two weeks for arraignment, and turned loose. They never see the inside of a jail. Unless they shove a cop. Then it's SLAM, BAM, CLANK of the jail cell closing.

bLEEp, I am sorry that such a horrible thing happened to you. But it's been going on since mankind lived in caves. We humans like to think we're 'civilized', but after more than TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND YEARS, IT'S STILL HAPPENING!

And I'm damned tired of it continuing to happen to a large percentage of the population with nothing really done to stop it. Lots of people can do some jail time w/o much of a problem (3 hots and a cot, + a shower, TV and internet). If people really wanted to cut down on it (it will never be eliminated), castrate the guys that do it. I don't know what to do with the women, but I certainly wouldn't rule out a firing squad.

Well I added who I followed before the post deletions.  He comes across as a little naive about some things but then again not everyone has the time or bandwidth to watch hours of videos and read hundreds of pages of posts about heating, cooling, batteries/electric and other dwelling items.

I do not know any of the parties involved, but from what I have been reading here, Jamie was "not" the culprit, and IMO, had no need to acquit himself. His camera man, on the other hand, is the one who's name should be mentioned as opposed to Jamie's. Irreparable damage could be the result of continuous use of his name being associated with this sort of behavior.
Sometimes I think I would agree with bleeps method. Any of the men folk I might hang around with have a code that would not bode well for skunks that are caught in the hen house.
Meanwhile, I suggest that everybody relax and wait until the information is assembled before judging anybody on second and third hand hearsay.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. My understanding is that Jamie, as the organizer of the build weekend and as the leader of the meeting at which this was addressed, did not handle the situation at all well, and many people have been pretty distressed about that.

I've heard it, seen it, and lived it. So, yes, damn right it happens. And before anybody thinks maybe I'm talking about back in the day, when I was rather more likely to be assaulted than now that I'm an old lady, you're right, but the kids I worked with up until a damn few years ago can tell you nothing's changed.

And bLEEp, that I disagree about how Jamie and Crystal dealt with that situation doesn't mean that I'm trying to make you look like the bad guy, at all. You're not, and we see this from different perspectives, is all.
