bLEEp:  "... if more action was wanted by the victims the police should have been called..."

Here's a rude awakening for you:  The police wouldn't have done anything.  Like it?  Here's how it goes:

Officer:  "Did he rape you or otherwise harm you?"  Victim:  "No, he reached in where I was sleeping and grabbed my ankle."

Officer:  "That's all?  He just touched you?"  Victim:  "He reached into my van and grabbed my ankle.  I was asleep.  I didn't invite him."

Officer:  "Ma'am, we can't arrest someone who didn't do anything."  Victim:  "He did the same thing as breaking into my house, didn't he?  Wouldn't he have been arrested for that?"

Officer:  "He didn't break in, you just had a screen over the door.  Even if he intended to do something, he didn't do it, and we don't arrest people for intent."  Victim:  "He did it to three of us, and all of us were in our own vans, and none of us invited him."

Officer:  "Well, I've got to be going now.  They have a 24-hour Dunkin Donuts in town, and a fresh batch should be hitting the counter right about now.  Close your windows and lock your doors."  Victim:  "It's still 102 degrees!"

Officer:  "I can't help that.  If you want to keep guys away, you'll have to endure a little discomfort."  Victim:  "Okay, suppose I go around and poke some of the guys with a stick?"

Officer:  "Then I'll have to come back and arrest you for assault, Ma'am.  Good night.  Have a nice evening."

Although things are a tiny bit better than they were back in the 60s and 70s. If you were raped then, every on-duty officer who wasn't in a shootout with a perp would be parked in front of your house, and every single one of them would ask you to describe the rape to him (individually). They wouldn't be making a report, they were just getting their jollies and would laugh and joke about it when they got together at the donut shop or met back at the dept or at a bar after their shift. REALLY.

A rude awakening for me???
Here's a ride awakening for YOU.... I was repeatedly raped as a child. Disgusting, terrible acts perpetrated by two separate babysitters. Fucked me up good for life. My ankle was not grabbed, no one barged into my vehicle without asking, I was RAPED!
NOTHING more was done. The only one at fault, one last time, is the asshole that crossed the line. If no one here wants to find him and handle his ass, and crystal does not want cops, there is no fucking reason to talk about it. My original point..... why is everyone talking about the lack of action and so concerned, but he only person who could do anything, did not. It is drama, it is stupid, and now it is here. I am done here. I will see those of you who want to see me in AZ. I will not be harassed over some person making money on internet fame talking shit about a good man.
Merry Christmas everyone.

I completely disagree with what you posted TC. As a man, a father, and someone familiar with the law.

I would like to add, BOTH babysitters were women, unrelated and no knowledge of each other.
I am sorry to be rude. I stand by my words. If anyone is hurt or thinks less of me so be it. I'd rather ya hate me for something I am than love me for something I am not.

2 things:

1- glad I didn’t attend the RTR last year, and I thought that based on some of the videos I watched afterwards, even more so now.

2- props to Gary for having a forum where the opinions on this topic could be openly shared, never would have seen the light of day “over theya”...

Thanks Gary
Sorry for what happened to you Bleep

Oh, and even though we are off-topic, that’s tolerated as well.

I had subbed a while ago to a black guy’s forum (why do I say “black guy” anyway, I don’t ever say “white guy”...?) who was a printer of some kind in Atlanta I believe, he was staying in a minivan in a Park and Ride lot and he has 180 plus different videos, his channel is called: Van Life, My Life on Wheels. It is very good. He seemed very down to earth and had a good attitude.
