well they aren't that good, 'possum is better but so darn greasey....best to put them in a trash can for a wk and feed them only taters, that de-fats them a bit to get out the greasy wild taste....2 wks is better who wants to wait that long for a meal to happen.

Coons are a PIA, while cute, never hurt unless required, they ate up our chickens to where we had to deal and we deal tough when we deal in the end the chickens won of course, cause we made it so

I dealt with more vermin trying to eat my livestock then Carter has pills.

feeding anything is what causes the problem, for me my food was the draw as they wanted it to be their food. I win always in the end against them, them being all kinds of critters being a PIA in my life. never a regret on that one for me---farmer and protection of your farm comes first at all times. has to be that way but if ya feed and attract, yea the vermin take over, where there is a few coons eating that feed, there are about a gazillion rats right on their tail ugh
see 1 coon, maybe 20 not seen, see 1 rat, about 1000 not seen LOL

Ha! I like the raccoons and have been feeding the way over ten years I guess. I actually like all wildlife.

I made a deal with them that I would put a little food out if they would leave my trash alone. They kept their end of the bargain and I’ve not had any problems with them since.

trash is easy to handle for them not to destroy. You know WE ALL campers deal with that all the time HAHA

Unless destructive I leave everything alone. I got some black snakes in my barns that would scare the socks off most people and I love my big hawks that live in my back branch woods, they hunt mice in the pastures.

but push comes to shove, this ol' farmer will always win against the critters....weeee....
