Magnet Fishing? - Kyz - 04-11-2022

So... has anyone did the magnet fishing thing?

I bought a cheap "kit" on sale before Christmas from Brute. I'm looking forward to using it, but feel like I need a "101" or "for dummies" guide. There's probably instructions in there though.

Not going to ask the question.

Make sure to use Loctite on any threaded parts.

Add some kind of hook to yer kit.

Good Luck

cool hobby but I went to metal detector which means I can more easily 'find that metal, hmm, gold' where I think it has the best chance to be but yea that is a hobby I might easily do LOL

throw down a magnet and see what comes up!! Luckily bones of any kind are not gonna happen so I won't bring up a skeleton or other creepy crap HA

LET US KNOW what ya find when ya have a day out doing it Smile

We bought a kit also. Haven’t used it and I think it’s lost in the barn.

See that's part of my questions. The locktite. I've never used it. I've been working on other things today, but I'm hoping to get it down and look it over again one day soon. I thought at first it went on the rope (knot) but then that didn't sound right. The threaded part of the magnet/"hook" does make more sense.

Uh oh. Hope you find it sometime!

I don’t want to go in the barn

RE: Magnet Fishing? - RoamerRV428 - 04-13-2022

I will. I will. I will go into that barn Smile any older barn and all I love to explore and ramble thru! Just something I always loved to do. Old buildings and barns, I am right there!! So much to explore and so little time to do it all LOL
