Stop bugging me!

Reflectix needs a press fit. Cut it almost oversized and press it in. Even then if you have pop out windows it pops when you open the window. I had some plastic from blueprints and put over the window outside and drew a template then cut my reflectix. It fit nice.

Ha I thought of something while I lay trying to sleep with fireworks going down the street... we had an old tent in the garage that we set up for the kids today... it is not going back. BUT what if I cut out the screen door, hemmed around the cut edges and (magnets) put it in the door way of the van??? Old tents can be found on CL, thrift stores and garage sales...

Probably sturdier than those seen-on-tv screens that I have, too.
Decided to make covers for the stuff I carry on the back of the van - wheelchair, poop hoses, etc., and thought to use an old tent, but of course had given away every. single. one. I had, and I had several, from when I used to take all the kids I worked with, camping. People gave them to me, they showed up at goodwill for very little, etc. Now that I need one? None at a yard sale or any thrift shop I went to. Arrrrgh. Ended up with "backpacker's tarps" from walmart.

The homeless abandon them- I've seen several discarded ones over past few days.
Perhaps in the edge of the woods, near the river, etc

Ordered some magnets from McMaster-Carr-
General Purpose Magnets
More than strong enough- Good I didn't order the '$pecial,' high strength ones.
Sprayed screen and magnet with spray glue Cammalu turned me on to! Works!!

They're more than sufficiently strong, still doesn't lay absolutely flat to door skin

This is what I ended up with. Fabric around all the edges, sewed panels together, cut such that the opening is in the right spot. Self adhesive Velcro at the top, magnets(6 left, 5 right) stuck on from outside. Right side hung on slide velcroed at top so it can open completely. Chain sewn to bottom of right side to hold it tight and keep bugs out. Bad part is, doors won’t close all the way with magnets, etc. in the way. But it works well to keep the skeeters out.
