Recently moved to a 200 year old adobe with mule deer, coyotes, birds, bees, trees & stone terraces on the back slope. Unremodeled adobe, lots of "character". May post pics for a few laughs. Planning to be at RTR 2018. Hope to see you there! Sounds really good. Now you have piqued my curiosity. I too would like to see photos.
Oh, good, Ballenxj, glad you want to see photos too. I'll entertain all of you with them soon!

Thank you for that welcome! I hope this attachment shows up. I guess you click on it to make it bigger.
I was in the first car accident of my life on a Thurs afternoon. I wasn't driving and I didn't get hurt but it shook me up. On Friday I couldn't focus on indoor chores so I went outside to work. There are about 70 Yucca cactus in the stone terraces in the back yard. Yucca is a plant with many uses.
The fibers were made into sandals, long ropes, and fishing nets that have been found intact in caves. To calm my nerves I took an old stone artifact and made my first yucca rope, complete with leftover green scrapings to boil and use for shampoo. It's supposed to prevent hair loss, could keep someone from needing to wear a wig
After the soothing day outside, and making my first yucca fiber rope, I looked up and saw this big Mule Deer gazing down from the upper terrace. Had my camera, so took a shot of her.
This is not a photo of the house, but it's a good start. I asked her not to eat my garden.

Oh, Kathleen, that's wonderful! The stone, the deer, the fence, everything! And what a perfect way to recover. Hope you're all well, now.
