LOL , Yes .
Battery ,alternator and engine block to chassis is a good plan . There are probably/possibly/hopefully some braided ground straps between the body and engine . (You might get away with just the alternator to frame ., but the rest is future proofing of gremlins just good practice on a rig with a few years of whatever it drove through.. Extra points for having them all at the same place. Anywhere you see a ground already might help to be re-done.
You can get a tube of NoAlox in the electrical dept of places like Homie D , Low Chance , Menhards , FixIt Good etc.
It will enhance the connection and prevent oxidation . Use it on the shiny new place(s) you make for the grounds and worry not of the sweat. Waiting for dark and cooler may be an option ? Dont forget the battery terminals too..
Guts ta gets max juice is th' bits and pieces. !.

I feel DeoxIT is better suited to things like circuit board and plug in type connections etc.. It will work but doesn't protect as well from future oxidation like the NoAlox. I worship the stuff but DeoxIT is fairly expensive for a very small can and NoAlox is way better suited for this kind of stuff IMO because NoAlox has a grease like consistency and will hold up for a very long time in under vehicle environments. Just wire brush to bare metal first . Some degreaser after opening the ground connections wouldn't hurt either.
I've been there done that (still do) and have seen the results over time . Use a bit on the battery terminals too.
Now if you want to use both DeoxIT and NoAlox I wouldn't try to stop you , go DeoxIT first after the clean and polish and use No Alox last ..but I really think NoAlox alone would be a best bet.
BONUS POINTS the container will last you for many future applications.
One more detail on NoAlox . Squeeze the tube a lot to mix it up , it separates over time. You want it to look like an almost liquid gray paste. Not clear, The paste needs the gray part . This stuff was engineered for HIGH voltage/amperage exterior connections. OOOie ! Don't be afraid of getting it on your hands , none of my fingers have fallen off so far in the 40 years I've been using it. (Since the master electrician I apprenticed with turned me on to it.)
DeOxit came out in the mid 80s and was called Cramolin from Caig Labs before NoAlox bought them out so been using both for that long..

Lol- just fyi.. any flavor of Cool isn’t an option here, for me, until early October…
Some folks may consider 75-80 with 95% humidity to be bearable… but- alas— I’m not heat/Humidity tolerant….

I said cooler . Unless you know somebody with an air conditioned garage.......
Just do the alternator first and save the rest for better conditions unless that doesn't make the gremlins go away.
I'm pullin' for ya.
I just heard on the radio that BillyJoe McCalliuster jumped into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie bridge.........on a June 3rd in Tupelo. Who knewTHAT !

My research and mechanic said that could have been the problem. (Also very mild ‘skissy’ noise from alt-spin)
No ac garage available- so will just goose the gas as needed to inspire her to spin up.. lol
Also on the later-list: I think I want to upgrade to a ‘real’ water pump and faucet. 100% on-off is messy and annoying when one simply wants to wash their hands. Lol
Especially if I am hitting the road to promote the new leash
