I honestly don't know which section to put this in, so here is where it lands.
Does anyone get nervous driving in tight quarters? Small towns, crowded gas stations, etc?
I haven't been able to travel much, but I'm sometimes a bit nervous about all the tight corners and crowded areas. Is it just me? Or do others worry? How do you deal with it? Tips? Tricks?
I have a Class C, and it's nearly 33 feet long.

Hell yes KYZ! With the RV and trailer in tow I’m not a happy camper. If I don’t approach a place exactly straight I can’t see out the other window to see if it’s clear to pull out. Scary.

Just everybody !
Eventually the rig becomes more familiar and you will be able to judge where you should really not go...
What scares me now is what other drivers might do in front of something big and slow to stop !
Pull forward a little longer before beginning to turn unless you like to buy things like tires.....and mailboxes or gas pumps..........
After that it's just getting to know your ride.
stay tuned

my hubby, nope. being farmers he has driven every single type of big trailer and loads our backhoe and hauls it and more LOL he can manuever literally anywhere in tight areas and I DIE cause I swear we can't make it and bite my nails to the quick while he just does his thing and makes it work every single time. If it was me, oh heck I would be worried but truly hubby is a pro to the max and I trust him all the time. If and when he croaks or whatever LOL and I sell the mega cab truck and 34 ft toyhauler I will do a small truck and small tag along camper. I would drive a 1500 with my horse trailer and easily manuever that thing, but anything longer I can't do it. Well, I also don't wanna ya know......so if things go awry, I am going smaller for sure with what I am comfortable with for sure!
yea we always search out bigger type gas stations etc. Hubby wants to get that 'extra tank' to put in the bed of the truck so we don't have to get into gas stations when they are so small and we might be desperate LOL Looking into that now actually.
yea driving nerves are real in bigger rigs
worst is when ya get trapped, damn GPS put us in a neighborhood road to a dead end and geez louise how he got us out of that spot was amazing or 'chancing' that damn restaurant where ya get in and can barely get out....omg. I rarely let him go into spots that are so tight looking, I find the big parking area and would rather walk at that point to get to something.....yea I got the bad nerves sometimes and I ain't even behind the wheel

It's good to have a plan B.
And to all of you out there that just navigate from the passenger seat...It's a good idea to get some driving time in, in case of emergency with the usual driver....backing loooooong trailers optional , just be able to hook up and git 'er down the road...and
yes learn how to dump the tanks too !!
stay tuned

Practice Practice Practice!
You have to think at least 15 seconds ahead, keep a safety bubble around you if possible, don't write a check that the motorhome can't cash.
Respect the rig and the damage you can do if you screw up.
Then just haul ass until you hear breaking glass!

yea I can drive a long length if I MUST and can handle and yea I dump tanks and know rv life extremely well....but that darn longer length hubby can easily do still freaks me out 'from the passenger seat' but I am steel made ya know. I could easily deal but stress if crap to me drive time came down LOL but I don't wanna LOL
but yes as a normal thing in life, you best know what you are hauling and how to deal and get the truck needed to haul it and learn. darn right or life gets miserable on the road. Straight highway, cool. Few turns to cg and hop ya get into the spot....cool....but so much more comes into play for sure.

Thanks ya'll! I feel better knowing I'm not the only one at least. = )
I'm looking forward to more practice, but the best times are when it's parked and I can chill.
