I have serious road envy right now as i'm sitting in my sticks and bricks in 20 degree Maine weather and yearning to be back out on the road again.  Do you still have your house or did you sell it and start the traveling?

I've hit the road several times in the last 4 years but this time I winterized my home in WNC and have it listed for sale. Not as cold as Maine but lots of snow and too many cold months for me. Figured if I wanted another house I could always find one in my travels or if I get tired of roaming. I'm in the "Gypsy" mode as I have no direction or destination, just traveling and having a great time. I don't know how I got into the "pack it up and go" mode, it just happened and I'm glad it did. Meeting a lot of like minded people out here and getting great advice on places to go. Besides a trip into Mexico January 2020 I'm just gonna follow the road like I've always wanted to do.
The more you know, the less you know.....

Where in Mexico are you headed? Some places have gotten too rough with the cartels.

Last 2 years friends and I went to Oaxaca. Awesome part of Mexico but the last trip was too intense. Stopped and searched many times. Federal Policia hit us for 800.00 in bogus fines,(or else) along the way. Then we got stripped at the border, everything taken out and searched and they confiscated lots of personal goods. Will never go into that part of Mex again. And yes, the cartel action and private vigilantes are everywhere and they all have big automatic weapons. This upcoming trip is to a friends house in the Baja. Much more chill there.

Yep. Sounds about right from the stories I’ve been hearing. So far I think Baja is still ok - I think
