I fully expect that in anything I get. We just updated lights/bulbs in my daughter's travel trailer and, sadly, found a leak right before I headed to Texas. (We had a pretty hard rain on Monday.) They were going to figure it out and get it fixed. We really think it was something that happened when it got moved--no prior signs of leaks.

Big Grin That's right at what I was wanting to get too. You don't see RVs for sale often with solar either.

Most remove the solar to apply to their new rigs. Personally, I think I would leave the solar and get a totally different amount of solar on the roof, or use as an awning or ... but that might change when the time comes. Smile

Too much trouble to remove all that and solar is cheaper and cheaper anyway. The new to us rig already has solar anyway.

Oh yeah, I thought of another good RV you can check into. They are beautiful but pricey. Leisure Travel Vans are made in Canada. Watch some of their videos. They actually have quality control.

The only thing that put me off from them was I have much more inside storage and a kitchen counter and that the newer ones are on that Sprinter chassis which all RV mechanics have told me to stay away from. There might be some pre sprinter ones out there though.

They are gorgeous rigs.

They are very nice, but out of my price range for sure.

It sure does seem like a gamble buying a RV. Hopefully not Russian Rulette. I cant help you on newer RVs. I bought a old Motorhome built on a Isuzu NPR chassis. I started with Japanese cars and may end with them. They run and run if taken care of. Best wishes and happy hunting.

Anyone that was in YARC CAMP last year can attest to the work that I put into mounting those panels. I was unable to install the electric tilts, but have all the parts to do it. I just have to mount the actuators and wires. I still might be able to get that done if I get it back soon enough. I have over $1000 in new parts. $$3,000including the Renogy commander controller, sealed AGM batteries, and the inverter.
once I get my health back I can do things again without taking a break every few minutes.
