I bet Popeye made his bed by putting a board across some cans of spinach.

Almost ! No Cigar. Move to the back of the line........

Jammed into my dinette 39x72x9" of memory foam between two walls and a window.
(3 King size 1 1/2" toppers folded in half in a sealed (to prevent absorbing winter heater condensation) single mattress cover with a fitted sheet on each side so i can just flip it to clean the top one and don't have to store the second one someplace else)

But very conveniently located two feet from the bathroom !
PLUS !!!! I can reach into the fridge from bed too.
stay tuned

TO QUOTE THE NAME OF A SONG BY SEASICK STEVE AND A RECURRING THEME IN
THE SONG "CAN YOU COOK"

THAT WOULD BE GOOD THING AS LONG AS YOU WOULDN'T HAVE
TO MOVE TO FAR FROM YOUR COZY SPOT.

I MEAN THERE YOU ARE IN BED, 2ft FROM THE BATHROOM, AND YOU CAN REACH THE FRIG TOO.  NOW IF YOU CAN COOK WITH OUT TO MUCH EXERTION YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO STEP ON THOSE COLD MAINE FLOORS IN THE WINTERTIME.

65x48x5 of medium hard firm foam, with a custom denim cover. Since 2007 sleep side to side in the van

I usually get some diagonal going when sleeping, and have a few inches at head and feet between mattress and wall, as I will sleep on my stomach.

lately I've been sliding the bed about 6 inches from back wall and rolling up a sleeping bag to mattress height and stuffing that in the crack. My dog likes it there, paws in the air, snoring. I have a bed platform extension so my mattress is still fully supported on the other end when I do this.

I use twin matttress fitted sheets, they are a bit long and not wide enough, but the bottom sheet stays in place with the elastic.

I travelled overseas with a good coffin style sleeping bag, but hated both feet being confined so close together, so its sheets and layers of blankets for me now.

So, Popeye, do you use a king sized blanket folded in half one on each side to flip with the sheet covered mattress so you don’t have to remake the bed every six months whether it needs it or not?

Remake the bed ??????
No need , the factory already made it.

1 extra large sleeping bag , 1 regular size sleeping bag inside it for colder , 1 more mummy style bag to go inside if it gets stupid cold (never needed it yet , but I keep it in the car in case it breaks down while mom is inside. .)

Wake up , slide onto the floor , grab the top corner , pull it closed .........done.
stay tuned
