OTOH, Bob of Bob's Red Mill (grains, seeds, nuts for healthy human consumption) decided to retire a few years ago, and he turned the ownership over to his employees, rather than just offering it to some mega-conglomerate.

No, Bob's been assisting with the transfer personally.

I see reduced prices on Roadtreks last years models all the time at the end of the year. Just because it is the first for some dealer doesn't make it uncommon.
