I'm not sure how the kneeling would go over at Hockey Games. I've gone to two and there are about as many fights in the stands as there are on the ice.

Made the comment years ago to a guy I worked with that I wasn't raised around Hockey and didn't pay much attention to it. He was Canadian. Damn near came to blows.

I totally understand...LOL!

Our East Indian Population are HUGE into hockey. I remember a brawl broke out over you don't take off your turbans so why do we have to take off our baseball caps. Muslim immigrants 25 stupid rednecks 2. They almost had to call the riot squad. Its ok to be a redneck...Just not ignorant.

We all take our hockey very seriously...

I've seen blows thrown when people talk during the playing of your anthem in Vancouver. People in the stands taking a knee would end up on the ice bleeding. Seriously, we are polite an being rude is as close to a capitol sin as we have culturally. Some might not agree or even like the USA but we will not be rude about it. Not to say it doesn't happen but...Rude is not ok. Being disrespectful earning millions for playing a game is not cool. Take your protest elsewhere. Like How about not wearing, or being sponsored by UNDERARMOR it was made for cops wearing vests!!
Personally, I fought so they could protest. Makes me sick, I don't like how they use their freedom, But, thats the bitch of a free society. Here they'd need a permit and they wouldn't get one. Don't stand, no problem, don't play as public displays of protest require a permit. Protest without permit, you go to White Swan...Ever notice how all Russian jails sound like attractions in Disney Land. LOL!!

I just read one of my favorite Canadians is retiring this year.. Rick Mercer. Politics aside , the guy was hugely entertaining and always respectful to his audience.


On the Russian jails and sounding like Disney, I heard one of the Russians at our Embassy refer to "the Dolphin" ...I had to look it up. Holy Shit. Better dead than there.

Yeah Rick is a funny guy. I like his version of humor basically point it out and put it in a context and then let you decide if it is messed up or not. Even if you don't agree with him you see his point of view without pushing your nose in it. LOL! Sounds like a polite way to do things eh? LOL!!!!
