Does your hausbell have low high and strobe?
Mine(bought in 2013) did not, just high. I lost that one with the lithium battery, leaving me only one 14500. battery.
Recently I bought versions that say Rockbirds on them, these do have high low and strobe.
The 3.7v lithium 14500 battery on low is as bright as the1.5v AA battery is on high.
There are likely dozens of different clones of this type. I found some of them would not concentrate the beam to as small a square and not throw quite as far. some of them ship slow boat from china for free for under 2$, or at least they did in 2013
My 18650 zoomable light does not concentrate the light as much as desired. While its LED is capable of more light the 14500 smaller light has better throw.
