Cheap Tires kill more people than using cell phones?

That's ytue & name brands sell junk too. I think all tires now have a use by date & have gone way downhill the last few years & now go bad even if stored in the dark. I had a 1966 military 6x6 radio truck with under 7000 miles & the original 11 tires, all like new, all matched in brand & wear except the spare which wasn't used. No checks or checks at all.
