Part timer working on a first build w/ an Odyssey

I wandered in from cheaprvliving. It's closed unexpectedly for maintenance. I've heard near silent grumblings from mods, so hopefully it reopens soon.  There are a lot of experienced people there.

For myself, I'm a beginner at van camping. City stealth is not important. We want to do some dispersed camping and see more of the country, but with a light footprint. We picked up an Odyssey earlier this year. Weather is starting to be in a decent temperature for building, finally.  I'm playing with some design ideas, layout mostly  I'm going to be a part timer, so any changes need to be reversable to go back to minivan hauler as jobs and needs change. The five amenities we want is a 'private potty', a hot shower, a heater, and electricity.  I'm a diy type with basic skills, so it will work out.

 Hello and Welcome.

Many of the members here are also members of CRVL, myself included.  Some are former members. 

 Here it's pretty laid back.  It's OK if a thread wanders off topic a little.  We aren't usually having posts deleted or "modified" by admin. or moderators unless they are really terrible or cruel and insensitive.  

Basic courtesy rules seem to apply.  I like the rule "DON'T BE A JERK".  I guess a person could be a Jack Ass, maybe not on a regular basis    IDK. 

I've seen some amazing mini van conversions on You Tube.  I think a member or two here have some experience with smaller vehicles.  I know there is a Peterbuilt conversion and a ambulance conversion too + many others.  I read all I can and watch some You Tube.  I figure that way I get to see a wider range of conversion ideas than if I just stuck to Safari/Vans.
