17 yrs is a BIG part of your life.
I done horses, cats, dogs, other livestock from the farm and everything WILL pull at your heartstrings big time, not all but some get under the skin due to their personality and they just melt ya...….we ALL know OLD...no diff. for our pets, we gotta do the best for them. All deserve great care in the animal kingdom but those that melt us we go the extra step!

I always say no matter when my beloved pet passed, my horses were very hard to let go and when it happens I say one thing, I gave that critter (insert pet name here for whatever critter) the best darn life it could have had Smile I always feel absolutely ok with that....my treatment of my friend til the end
3 Stinkin' Badges, YARC, 3 Cat Ass Trophies , ROOIRIA Wannabe,(never happen) and still a Bisquit cause me soggy!
And 2 run down Flying Manure Spreaders!

Gotsmart: Why do you worry about your old cat?

Because you're not the mean old man that you want everyone to think you are.

I am worried that he will kill me in my sleep.  Confused
Compared to parenting, Cat herding is less complicated

Because John is wise. Cats own you not the other way around the moment you fail to be useful. “It’s over the shoulder” time (Ministry and my buddy Al Jorgensen)

Tigger has forgiven me (for now)
I think it it is because it will take too long to train a new person.
Camilla has too many strange non cat critters.

Last night I got head boops.  Cool

John was owned by Tigger’s Mom and Gradmother before that. Tigger is the third generation to own John

That explains it -- a 3-generation investment in training a human requires careful consideration before final termination.

All that proves to me is he isn't trainable.

(I heard it through the grapevine that Tigger is thinking of trading him in on a 500# tuna.
Wherever he got that idea ,,,,may never be known.)
stay tuned
