I've got a 2000 chevy 1/2 ton van.Get about 15 on the open road. When we pulled the 32 ft 9000 lb POS Springdale,we got 7-8 mpg.Now that we have a 22 ft tt we get around 11.Just had a brain fart.Open road? Why would I be driving on a closed road?

I got a 1986 Chevy g20 van with a 24" hightop. It's a 305 with a quadrajet and 3 speed auto. I get between 15 and 16 mpg with just the van but 14 mpg pulling my homemade cargo trailer. That's keeping it around 60, at freeway speeds it seems like the gas tank leaks.

1997 F350 (7.3 liter powerstroke diesel) 4dr 2 wheel drive (240K miles)= 16-17 mpg if I keep my foot out of it.
Truck with 37 ft Sandpiper 5th wheel TT (3 slides)= 7-8 mpg. And that's downhill with a tailwind.

Soon to have shuttle bus that should avg 10+ while towing a 1996 Toyota Camry (95K miles). (Camry gets 28-30mpg)

'89 dodge B250 with TV top conversion van roof, with 4 speed AOD and 3.55's
9 mpg around town with lots of elevation changes and traffic lights, rarely exceeding 35mph
A 2500 mile road trip last summer averaged 16.4MPG

Flatland traffic free interstates I can get 17.5mpg at 65 to 68MPH, above that speed and the tank appears to have a leak.

That part made me pause, I've lived where it's flat for so long I forget there are urban areas with hills.

We have a ‘91 Chevy 3/4 ton, 350 engine, rolled over 94,000 miles last week.  Has a hitch but we don’t tow anything if we can help it.  Been getting 15 to 15 and a half MPG, sometimes over 16 if we can keep it between 60-65 mph.
