It would be really nice if we as a society could stop throwing our young men into the meat grinder of War

staying near JBLM, every Service person who I encounter I share these same heart-felt words with: "Thank you for your service & even willing sacrifice. Had if not been for the US ARMY coming to rescue our family from savagery, we would all have died. - But you came, you Stayed the course, you did the Right thing, you STOPPED the insanity, (then grateful tears fall) & because of you saving us in our desperate hour of need, we yet live... Thank you, from the bottom of my heart."
and
just as sincerely with our eyes locked in a hug, they respond with "You are Welcome" & often we then briefly HUG...

Crying now as I type these words.

Hi Rob,
the grief of a Loved one's death one can really not find words for. And I am sorry.
and
yet grief is also felt by different Care Heart givers as I worked in medicine 37 years, seemingly forever.
Mostly avoid this subject as going there mostly also agonizingly hard.
Burn-out rises even during 10 yrs, & the only explanation for why I endured soo long is I love, truly love people.
As most pay I gave away without thinking of my future, because helping sufferers meant more.

I've cared for about 70 Retired/Veterans as some of the most Humane people on earth.
Always Appreciative, gentle, patient, enduring sense of humor even in pain, & their hugs Heart always Heart-felt... anyway *thanks* Rob.
Thank you for all you too contributed to make the world a little better.

Gunny that it twice in a month you choked me up. I see it is as growth. Testing the deeper emotional levels carefully. Thanks for the visual to go with the emotions I always feel toward the heroes, the world over, that do for the civilized population what they can't do themselves.

Respect always Marine.
