Solar panels + snow?

Look it up. The newest research is out there. I never said Renogy is using it

I do say it is the height of futility to over analyze an existing system.

Mine is bigger!!! More power!!! Black smoke!!!

The whole idea is to help people, not drive them away.

I just got a Buddy request from you.

When I tried to respond, it says you have me blocked.

So here is my response in public, if you can't see it now, maybe another "buddy" can forward it to you.

I have no idea what this means in practice, what is the purpose of this software function?

Note, if you get the chance to do the video test on our point of disagreement I would be happy to make it interesting.

And you don't need to get embarrassed in public either, I just want to get confirmation of my knowledge, for science.

And if that "leaves design" things really was a joke, sorry maybe you guys are just more neuro-typical than me, but I consider all that kind of OT stuff in a serious thread to be detrimental to seeking truth, and a waste of our time.

I'd be happy to be "buddies" IRL, so don't take it wrong, but am wary of social media stuff.

And spreading misinformation is not helpful to anyone. Truth is more important than hurt feelings.

If you have evidence that what you claim is true, please post links.

If I find evidence that my positions are wrong, I will be very happy that my knowledge has grown, and of course will want to share the details.

Same with moonlight producing any usable level of power - watts or amps, again volts are not meaningful wrt power, that's just potential.

After reading all this I suppose my system is useless for the most part. I went cheap, did not buy the new type panels, just the plain, lower priced stuff.

Reading this makes it seem like if one of my three panels gets blocked by a tree limb or something, well, I am screwed. Both of the other panels would just call it quits and do nothing.

John CT, buy a number of modules of different varieties, wire them in the different ways companies do and YOU give us the results. You are the one calling everything into question and critiquing anything said in response. Do it your way, be happy and if my set sucks and let’s me down it is most assuredly not your concern nor GetSmarts,

I read about the German designed modules being used by Solarworld, state of the art. Solarworld is in bankruptcy so something didn’t work right.

Happy Fucking Thanksgiving.

Your system is fine.  Like all others, it will be negatively affected by shading, sometimes dramatically.

I would have called it a healthy dose of sarcasm. Rob, you and everybody else here have a good turkey day, OK? Smile
