Its a really good 120mm fan in my opinion. But just one as exhaust or air circulation for your whole rig is not very much.

This specific fan as a directed air circulator has 4 hot spots that exit the fan at a fairly wide angle, meaning if you place it 4 feet away from you aimed at you you will not feel much flow from it. Fans like the SilverStone AP182 which has concentrating steering vanes on the face plate are much better for directing columns of air where desired.

See my ventilation Nazi thread for some rather ridiculous interior air circulation computer fans.

Definitely peel up that sticker where the wires enter and put a blob of Dielectric grease over the solder joints. Most of my early fan failures were related to corrosion here.

I enclosed my new SS FM121's circuit board in Amazing goop marine version. I have not yet put mine on my ceiling and just atttached red and black to a tiny 9v cube alkaline battery to test. Thing still moves a good amount of air at 9.63v!!

i have a standup fantastic fan and will be adding another computer fan and maybe a roof vent fan, kinda like my fans

this one being above the stove will get humidity abused when cooking in winter,in warm weather have giant windows and big fan

if i can build the box going to try and make this fan do three things, cooking exhaust, gentle constant exhaust and gentle constant interior air movement for a reason i will disclose later when the bird is in my hands

I wonder if SS is coming out with a new 120MM fan model to supercede the fm121,
and they are releasing the old stock at reduced prices.

It's a heck of a 120mm fan for 15$
