I was also eyeballing the 20$ controller but will resist.

i am pretty sure it is way better than the POS 18$ Mohoo controller I recently installed in a conversion van.

Thanks for the heads up....I ordered that $20 controller as sort of a spare, it comes with the remote battery and temp sensors...I figure it's easily worth what they are charging for it.

My first Renogy product...

How 'bout that?

Cool

Would I be better off buying the 30A one over the 20A? Is that a good price for the 30A?  I'm gathering all the goodies to go in my bus one item at a time. Thank you ! David

Update:

I did not resist.

In the email, They say it is the 'original' version of this specific controller, suggesting that the updated one is worth the money and the 20$ one has some fundamental deficiency in function.

But I am a cynic.

I meant to test the 70$ Renogy  Voyager controller with a regular K type thermocouple for battery temp sensing, but never did, and tomorrow it will be on the road, untestable.

The 18 $ mohoo controller might be the most worthless POS electronic device I ever bought, and I once bought a brand new cassette player in South Africa, that I removed the batteries from, found an adequate section of wood to imitate a baseball bat, launched it skyward and landed a fury soaked and Oh so satisfying line drive upon.

This Adventurer Renogy 20$ controller, in features and interface, if similar to the Voyager controller is well worth 20$, depending on what deficiency the original model has over the updated one.

I'd not trust it to take proper care of a  quality battery I am deep cycling each and every night, but on my workshop battery.....

I was going to wait until Monday, but decided i'd prefer not to find it out of stock.

Still waiting on confirmation email, though I did get notification by my bank of the purchase
