Looks like I need a "new Plan"...  my abused body parts do Not like camping in a low top van.
So I will need to tidy up and get my stuff out and find a buyer for Miles Irving.
Find myself a decent mileage ride with a bit of towing capacity that can also serve as daily driver and is dog-friendly. (looking at Trailblazers and such)
And then look for a small trailer that isn't too badly beat up.

anybody wanna trade?/downsize?

sigh

I'm tired of building rigs....lol

Some people have good backs.

I hear your old van is for sale. For kicks start there.

I have no problems crawling in and getting comfortable in a van... the getting up part is where the issues start. Our travel trailer is a 1978 Prowler M-19E. It's 19' long rear bumper to tongue. I think the box is about 17' long. My 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 6 cylinder pulled it like it wasn't even back there. Of course my mirrors told a different story but I was surprised on how well this combination worked.
