Yup flame retardants are a nightmare for me.
Probably can’t set the swimming pool on fire....
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

Thanks for bringing that up.  I'm not as familiar with this class of chemicals, and did some quick online checking.

The good news is that in the last couple of years, use of this stuff is declining.  I found this post from the site mentioned earlier:  http://www.mychemicalfreehouse.net/2014/...-home.html

It's a bit ironic that California started the push for flame retardants in products back in the '70s, but has been pushing the last few years to reduce them.  Apparently 2015 was when furniture manufacturers started cutting back.

But--"My Chemical-Free House" also says flame retardants are still used in all sorts of foam insulation boards--such as many of us are using in our vehicle builds....
