Well, I started out just wanting a small vintage trailer I could gut and rebuild to a more fitting full time lifestyle.  Love the vintage look.  Once she was "on board" for the whole full time thing that changed of course.  She wanted a bus conversion but after talking about it we decided the bus would not really be the right thing for what we want.  So it was back to a vintage trailer but the vintage went away and the trailer got bigger.  Now each time we talk about trailers they seem to be getting bigger with "ohhh, it would be nice if...."  so now we're up to a 2 car garage and tennis court.  Oh, and my old venerable Jeep won't be the tow vehicle anymore so that has to be addressed.  Hollywood here we come!!!!

Sounds like you should be looking at a fifth-wheel toy hauler.  And maybe a big rig to pull it.  You can see what's available here:

And discussion on using MDTs and HDTs to pull them here:

We were just looking at F250 pickups last night and the one I've been wanting is already set up to pull a 5th wheel.

I've got an F250.  The maximum trailer weight she's rated to pull is 12,000 lbs.  Are you sure the 5th wheel is not going to weigh more than that by the time your wife is through?

I'll probably have to empty the pool and sauna.

Actually, travel with them empty, really helps keep things from getting too heavy.

You can carry enough instant water packets for both in a 5 gallon bucket.

I would use my potti but am afraid I'd get up for a tinkle middle of the night and forget, that'd be a right mess then !

I have a pool that fits in my purse. It’s called a Y card.
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

"i have seen a couple videos where they recorded the output from flat to tilted and there was dramatic gains in doing so"

Use stationary panels and just tilt the vehicle in the proper direction.

The farther from the equator in wintertime, the closer you get to tipping right over 8-)

Bumped the old thread.
I saw a lot of RV boondockers near Quartzsite working on tilting their panels. It’s a project that can be done while camping. Ive made a couple large residential tilting arrays but it turned out to be wasted effort. I didn’t like tilting the entire array as it was heavy and cumbersome. Individual tilting panels is what I’d do on my RV. Or small groups of panels. But not the entire array.
I just hosed out a huge rats nest from under my flat fixed panels on my old Motorhome. There’s still some junk underneath Im going to poke out with a stick. The rat also chewed into the rubber roofing....argh!! If the panels tilted it would be easier to clean and repair. Well, the rat nest would not be there!
For 14 day RV camping stints it seems like it is worth tilting panels. As long as there is another vehicle to drive.  So tilting might not be worthwhile for a van with no other vehicle. I’m planning n having a motorcycle and leaving the Motorhome for 14 day stats. Always trade offs.
