I throw the flavor packet away and season with Shriracha, chipotle Chalula, salt and pepper.
Or pineapple and bacon.
Or sausage with a dollop of sour cream.
That stuff is a white canvas.

I toss the enclosed packet, and replace it with a couple of teaspoons of Organic Low-Sodium Chicken Better Than Bouillon (about $7 for the 2-cup jar at Costco), and some home-canned meat. It comes in an 8-oz jar at most other grocery stores, but it costs more. Quick hot soup. Or add stir-fried meat and veg to it. Mmmmmm......
