Man my last post was a mess.... what I said was that everything I was attempting to steal was food so the manager did not press charges, and they gave me the food I was trying to take and the address of the food bank. But explained how police in Denver are working with local retailers to build a database of shoplifters and that some stores, like Walmart, can implement facial recognition into security systems and watch you.

I'm loving the pour over method because I'm lazy and hate the clean up of the percolator now. Of course, I've only used it while camping without running water or electricity, so I have to pour the water and use paper towels to get it clean, blah, blah, blah... for now, I'll keep just throwing out the filter with grounds and rinsing the pot!
Did I say lazy?

Our pour over worked for a while, then the damn thing quit.... I don't get it. It is not clogged, I think the coffee goo is stuck to the micro screen stuff and the coffee goo from the coffee is connecting to the other coffee goo in the screen making it harder for h2o to pass.... science mmmmmm baaahahhaha

My method is simpler still... I boil water in the percolator and pour it into a coffee machine basket filled with filter and ground coffee beans into the insulated carafe. Once all the water has gone over the coffee, it is done. I throw the used filter out and pour from the filled carafe. No mess. I love it... EXCEPT for the amount of time it takes for water to boil over an open flame. I think it is 14 minutes, which is a long time for Belinda to be conscious without coffee!!!

I use the Stanley full size French press. It's a mess to clean up, but it's consistently the best coffee I've had. It beats the heck out of my old Keurig, which I have bequeathed to #4.
