I think the trailer idea is great as long as you are not in an extreme weather area.  I have found an rv park for $325 a month but that's no electricity, so still looking for something less in a state without the risk of tornadoes or blizzards.  Otherwise I will continue to plan to be mobile. Glad it seems to be working for you. 18' is close quarters but still 2-3x the size of most vans!
