Selling RV...questions

Yeah PPL was who I contacted. They buy outright, but are very low. I can do a consignment with them, but a couple reasons I'm reluctant are stated above. But, I haven't ruled out consignment with them totally yet. I'll see how things go on my own first.

As for camping world, when I was first looking for an RV I went to a location in Louisiana. The salesman was great, showed me a few units, none that I really wanted though. So I thanked him and was going to leave. Two different managers stepped in wanting to fill out a form with my personal information, I declined--repeatedly, for about 10 minutes. I gave them my first name only, and they kept pressing for information, especially my phone number. I finally told one of them that I'd give them a fake number if they really just needed to put information down on a form. He finally got the message, but that cemented my determination to avoid camping world. I stopped in at several dealerships that day, but they were the only ones that tried to "strong arm" me into giving them so much information.

I think PEOPLE RUIN most businesses.....now some have shady policy/practice truly in line, but mostly, people and pressure in their jobs for xyz, abc, maybe, thru management, we don't know about, RUIN a company for so many of us too.

I know my people at CW were fab. never got those types of tactics. It is a hit miss on what a biz and the people one deals with truly can give a thumbs up or massive distaste for a company just thru the interactions we get.

I hit an RV lot first thing I say is this: I AM A VERY experienced rv owner. I AM LOOKIN' for a specific floorplan to suit me NOW in my life.........so I want abc, xyz and the salesman can 'tour me in that direction' for the models I kinda want, the others are useless to me and I AM SO direct and tough when I start this convo I think they get scared of me real fast HAHA

but key is when I go I totally control and direct the experience. Sales people don't like me for sure HAHA

but that is another thing........I think ya mesh or real fast know you ain't gonna click with someone....salesman or what managers 'come out to get ya' so yea, if that went down for me like that, yea I would be less than impressed with 'that location' ya know and if I had to deal with them again I would say a big nope.....unless it was alot of yrs I didn't use them and would check again to 'see if any' smart new people' have now been hired....lol....so many other options in life, screw you guys is a good way to go too!

Many times in life I said this company or that WILL NEVER get a dime of my hard earned money ever again, and yea, they won't but while that doesn't matter to many companies, it sure matters to me!

Good luck, yeah I used the google voice number cuz a few years back I made the mistake of putting my number on craigslist and then they GOTCHA!

The advantage of google voice is that you can have the app on your phone and/or forward calls to your real number. This way they dont have your actual number, and even if they start to spam you with texts or car warranty calls, as soon as your sale is complete, you can delete the app, cancel the google number, etc. Poof. Problem solved.
