The owner of LifeBlue told me that the cost of shipping for a container went from $1200 on his last shipment to over $6000 on his current shipment and they would not even give him a estimate of the next container until it was loaded and ready to go. That happened right after they lowered their prices too.

Covid economics is being blamed on everything and the little dog too. I had the local fruit stand seller tell me Watermelon shipping increased the price because of Covid. I told her to try to fit the watermelon in her ear.

Apparently my Russian isn’t so good.

Everyone seems to be jumping on the gouge bandwagon. So we should all just stop for a bit and let it all catch up.

Yeah the NIMBY principle is well and working. The issue with this is the backyard is the planet and the only thing that’s required is market the victim and signal virtues and were good to go.

We got no jobs in California. Victim
Pick fruit. Advice
Mexicans work for free so no jobs. Victim
Send the illegals home. Virtue signal

Fuck it’s hot out here I don’t want to pick fruit. I have a disability. I identify as a dolphin. Victim

Or less silly.
Buy a 3.0 Fiat diesel that has three hundred pounds of emissions gear added to insure a clean environment. It burns with x value Nox and y value soot. Yeah environmental hero. We’ll all ignore it takes an additional 5 mpg to burn off that stuff and the plastic def bottles floating in the pacific.

But cheap Chinese knockoff Webasto diesel heater that pukes Nox and soot at a level close to an idling 7.3... what? Yeah no problem? Lol.

Do you know the main export factory for Webasto is here? In SPB. Yup! You buy a Heatso or EBay and some Amazon Webasto heaters they are made here. They are cheaper, not as cheap as the ChinChin knockoffs but 37% cheaper than a German to Canada or USA heater. Why... it ain’t just tariffs and taxes. I know a guy working there. Quality control is done for the region and burn function. In Russia if it lights up and produces heat it goes out the door. Zero emissions testing. That’s using an old proven design. Now imagine the emissions from a chinchin. Remember Nox is the invisible bad stuff.

Welcome to the MIR (world) sandbox and it’s not just the cats shitting in it.
