It's winter, every year natural gas pricing goes up at this time, when demand for heating goes up. Vehicle fuels go up in summertime. This can be hedged by owning shares of oil and/or gas royalty trusts. Prices go up and the dividends go up, prices drop and so do the dividends. Do your own due diligence. The devaluation of the Dollar is why the stock market keeps going up, real value of companies doesn't changed much, just the price in dollars changes, adjusting upwards for worth less dollars. The Federal Reserve prints trillions of dollars whenever the banks get in trouble, as they did again early in 2020. Almost had another Global Financial Crisis, like 2008. Rumor has it that the current epidemic was able to distract attention from yet another financial meltdown resolved with free dollars for the Banks.

Now imagine the scenario:
Russia and China secure their currencies with gold reserves. They’ve been stockpiling. Bitcoin surged quite a bit since I last mentioned it in the forum. Has been correcting a little recently but... China, Turkey, Germany agree to buy oil in Yuan or Rubles as it is easier for them. The petrol dollar is just too active. Up down, all around based on situations they can’t control or really understand. China asks to transact all oil purchases in Yuan. Secured gold reserve currencies are always more attractive. USD no longer the oil buck. Bad day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

who trumps thru it all will be interesting for sure. give it a 6 mos for more and where we stand will be I think frightening but good for the many vs against all of us just on the brink of massive struggle to be the low of the low and no support for our country? ONLY time will tell We can cherry pick all aspects of life as it effects us but those monster overall in a few yrs changes that whack us all? so wild

Fuel of all kinds is going up. On the morning commute into work today I saw the Pilot truck stop unleaded jumped .26 in less than a day. It was at 2.09 yesterday and this morning was 2.35. I had to look again at the next Pilot about 10 miles farther and yep, same thing. Maybe just "the blessing of a new administration".
Off their (Pilot) website: Fuel Prices Super $2.859 Unleaded $2.359 The Sheetz station (competitor but not for trucks) said: Gas Prices Regular $2.36 Midgrade $2.66 Premium $3.06 #2 Diesel $2.50 I filled up at a Shell yesterday right on the other side of the freeway from Sheetz and I paid 2.12 while Sheetz was 2.08... So I know the price jumped that much. "Thanks Joe." Oh, I Googled "gas prices jump" and this is what one article said (from https://www.fastcompany.com/90597911/why...-right-now): Begin article quote 01-26-217:49 AM "Why are gas prices rising? Here’s the weird but simple reason you’re paying more right now It comes down to one thing: hope. The average price of a gallon of gas across the country rose to $2.40 on Monday, according to data compiled by the American Automobile Association (AAA) via The South Florida Sun-Sentinel. That price rise is the highest in 11 months—which seems a bit odd, considering we’re in the midst of the worst part of the pandemic so far. Many businesses are still shut, theaters and restaurants are closed, and millions of people are still working from home. And vacations? Forget about them. Given all this, Americans are driving less and thus using less gas, not more. So why are prices rising? It comes down to one thing: hope. And that’s why, despite the impact on your wallet, there’s reason to be glad about the rising price at the pump. Optimism over the vaccine rollout and a belief that the worst will soon be behind us is causing traders to drive up the price of crude oil futures. Futures are a bet that a certain commodity—crude oil, in this case, the main ingredient in gasoline—will be worth more in the months ahead. Those traders wouldn’t be driving up crude oil futures if they thought the global economy and the state of the world was going to be getting worse, not better. And as it gets better, there will be more demand for crude oil as the machinery of the global economy starts cranking again." End of copied post So I "hope" I get a big raise and a win the next billion dollar Lotto...
