"On June 15, a flurry of reports on a number of different services in the U.S. have indicated that the country may be experiencing a coordinated DDoS, or “distributed denial of service” attack. These attacks are malicious attempts to disrupt or shut down targeted servers by overwhelming them with traffic from multiple sources.

According to outage aggregator Downdetector, users reported outages in major mobile carriers (T-Mobile, Metro, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Consumer Cellular, US Cellular), Internet providers (Spectrum, Comcast, CenturyLink, Cox), social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Twitter), games and game services ([i]Fortnite[/i], [i]Roblox[/i], [i]Call of Duty[/i], Steam, Xbox Live, Playstation Network), streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, Twitch), banks (Chase Bank, Bank of America), delivery services (Doordash), and other major platforms like Google and Zoom."

I can co firm that my and my Mom's Metro TMobile were not working either at all or intermittently yesterday.  We put it down to the fire that is raging between here and Phoenix.  My Visible phone on Verizon seemed to work, at least the data side.  I don't usually use the voice on it other than to call the TMobile phone when I can't find it.

Same on my Consumer Cellular. Weird outages, but it cleared up by mid evening.

So everything has been fine with my Verizon phones and mobile hotspot but, I'm only 300 yards away from their tower.
Today, the 17th I'm getting a "Lost connection" or "Lost Signal" error message. This Hotspot has always been 5 bars.

Maybe my podunk town finally got shutdown but I swear there is only 50 people on this tower now that the big industry closed down. Just typing this I've dropped to 2 bars. Gotta run a speed test / signal strength to see what that looks like.
