I got all confused when the word inverter came into this discussion.
I was not sure what was the intention or goal after that.
Seemed like a simple mobile system installed into/onto a non mobile application, and how to keep batteries happy with 200 watts of solar on a barn roof when not cycling them.
Non cycling batteries need not see hours of absorption voltage each day, while cycled batteries do.

Well we had way too many projects and way too little time.
As it is I got the equipment shed completed just in time to be able to leave after everything was stored. Come spring I will be able to complete the wiring and give everything a long charge and see where I am at.
Between doctors appointments and difficulty in finding contractors willing to show up we were a couple of weeks late in leaving.
Meanwhile I can think on the best way to set up the charging station.

I finally got the wires set up. Today I hook everything up with a new battery. Then I will have lights and equipment battery charging capabilities. Hmmm. I need more 12 volt lights.

These panels are factory defects that we got last year. 2 200 watt panels that only put out 100 each. I hooked them up today, and they charged the battery with indirect sunlight. ( They are facing East and the sun was in the west.). I have a used battery that I bought in Quartzsite to power the jack on the trailer. The lights are nice. Now I just have to finish running wires and install lights in the rest of the barn.
Most of this project is built from leftovers. Actual cost will be about $100 for a new controller, some lights, and switches.
Now to take pictures and have Camilla post them. My phone still hates me.
