Sorry to hear about the 75. I had 2 such misadventures, my first 22’ class C and a 28’ TT. The class C was parked on a slight incline and I didnt even wonder why. It had been freshly painted on the cabover sleeping area, I didn't wonder why. The vehicle ran fine at first, come to find out within a 100 miles that the back gas tank had a leak (fuel running out in a steady stream), the alternator failed within a month and the rings were shot on the 350 motor, camouflaged with fresh plugs to keep from oil fouling till it was sold. The cabover roof leaked badly, the presence of a lot of silicone caulk should have told me something... the fresh paint covered the moldy interior paneling... All in all a masterful con job.

I lost my proverbial ass trading it off on a well used 28’ travel trailer that later I discovered had a wiring fire in previously, and had been hastily repaired. Another loss. I’ve never bought another used rv, doubt I would be willing to. It seems like most under $10K are real POS.

I have a 4000 Onan and it will run the AC but I can't turn on lights, coffee pot, etc without throwing fuses.  The 4k Onan came with the rig, so it should be large enough to run AC and the coffee pot, it's not. Smile
There is a short somewhere.

If you have a gfi outlet in the bathroom check it.  Mine kept tripping when I ran the generator and shutting off the power to the front of the rig.

If it isn't a GFCI issue, maybe get the generator tested to make sure it is actually putting out the appropriate voltage and amperage?

I had a 79 Southwind and an 83 Southwind that were both over 10 years old when I owned them they both had Onan 4000's and I could run both ACs with them.  I drove to Florida, then to Atlanta and then back to West Texas running both ACs in the summer and never missed a lick.

I should add about the GFI:. Sometimes the breaker in it gets weak and it will trip with any light load. I replaced mine with a slightly more robust GFI outlet and have no further issue. My rig is 20yo and things wear out after that length of time.

Yes, maybe it’s just a breaker tripping?
I read to assume every RV has a leak. And older ones have several. No matter what the the seller says assume there’s going to be major work. So the price needs to reflect it. And it’s a very tiring and taxing job rebuilding a RV roof. I’m working in my third major roof rebuild. I probably paid too much for them but not by a huge amount. It’s the time that’s piling up.
Better luck with your newer rig.
