I’m not really a big fan of tuna

maybe it’s the recipe.... maybe it’s been so tried and true I don’t want it any more...
I drain the can of tuna.
I mix in an egg.
Maybe onion bits.
I mix in some crushed corn chips.
I shape it in patties and cook it.
It’s the only tuna recipe the kids would eat.

My sister boils an egg.
Once it is boiled and cooled she adds mustard and mayo, the chopped up egg and tuna. Then some relish - I bought some relish that was a little hot and all you could taste was relish. Almost killed the taste of the tuna.

How do you use tuna? Does it taste good?
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

If you don't like it, why not eat something else?  Or am I missing something here? (Wouldn't be the first time...)

my hubby loves tuna patties. All he does is little salt, pepper, egg and tiny bit of bread crumbs to help shape the patty. Fries it in very light olive oil. Done.

I for one hate hot tuna Smile Not a fan. I only like it cold. Just open a can, add a smidge of finely chopped onion for taste and add mayo. Done...eat it plain like that.

I get tired of it a bit, don't eat it so much, and then I put it back into my menu when I want it again.

Tuna noodle casserole!! Old favorite when I was a kid. I make it a bit differently from my mom by adding different ingredients but her way was certainly easier.

She drained the tuna, added cream of mushroom soup and a little milk, salt and pepper. Then dumped it and cooked noodles into a casserole and popped it into the oven.

We scarfed it down as kids.

I like to add a bit of finely chopped onion and also put bread crumbs and cheese on top.

I am not a big fan either. I do carry a couple of cans for some variety though. Tuna salad sandwich: can of drained tuna, mayo, sweet pickle relish, a little scallion (optional) and a chopped hard boiled egg (optional). Mix well. Spread on bread, top with lettuce and enjoy. I generally put a little mayo on one of the slices of bread too.

Tuna just seems grosser than it used to be, even if you buy the fancy solid white albacore. Last couple of cans I bought had disgusting extraneous “things” in the can. No more for me.

I get the Great Value Solid White Albacore and it usually looks like they just took the can and pushed it through a fillet.
Who knew ?
$1.37 a can,,,,,wild caught too !
Sometimes wally's really surprises ya !
No can of minced tuna there.

Infinite recipe possibilities....
stay tuned

Not a fan of but will eat a tuna casserole (if someone else make it). That is about my extent that I can remember.
