Attaching photos, not using hosting
#1
I know that a photo hosting site is preferred, so it does not eat up the memory this forum uses.

But I used to have Photobucket, and cancelled my account told them to fvck off, when they started saying one had to pay 400$ a year for them to host pictures.  Giant middle finger to Photobucket.

After that i went to Picload.Org and uploaded close to 250 photos there, but was recently notified they are closing up shop and all my photos uploaded there are soon to disappear.

So now If I want to share pic here, I'd almost prefer that only members signed in get to see full size photos, that google does not have the ability to pull them up in full resolution for sharing.  I never liked searching images in google and seeing my own photos pop up. I was in fact irritated in the extreme to see my own photos pop up in google images and now mthose I uploaded ot PB or Picload do not show up, which is good, as i dont care to really share with the whole  freaking world.

But is it an issue, memory wise for this site to host pictures?  Will they still show up in google images anyway?

I'd have no issues reducing their Physical size and memory size in Photoshop for attaching here as I usually crop and post process photos anyway.

the attachments jpg and jpeg are set to 3mb max and currently there is 417mb being used,i dont think it makes much difference unless you upload thousands of them so go for it

the host says we have unlimited disk/memory which is a lie because if we made a huge site it would slow down others on this shared server and we would be forced to upgrade

the last time i asked they said we were way below any max usage

you can only see the enlarged attachments when logged in,i also hid the members list a while ago so you can only see it logged in
i could hide the whole site
