Pizza - it's whats for dinner
#21
When I worked briefly at the pizza place we had all kinds of time on our hands some Saturday mornings.... so we played with pizza. The one I liked best was a breakfast pizza. We made up the crust, put some eggs on it, fired it a couple minutes then added the good stuff and baked normally. The eggs need to start to set before you put anything on top. This might take some playing a bit but I still like it once in a while. I need to figure out how to make it for one person.
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

Crescent rolls work great for this if you don't want to roll the dough. You can either fill and then roll as stuffed crescents or seal the diagonal perforations to make rectangles for the top and bottom of a rectangular calzone.

On pizza sauce, the local take and bake shared the recipe for their awesome garlic chicken pizza with me awhile back. The sauce was just ranch dressing with a dollop of crushed garlic mixed in. Add cheese, chicken, bacon and a little onion for awesome garlic chicken pizza.
