Stovetop oven

I have a new non-dutch oven: 3 pie pans, yard sale finds, cost me 75¢. Elevate the pans about 2 inch above coals (3-4 usually) & add coals to top pan, 2d pic (6-8 usually). Find hvy duty pie pans, if possible & deep dish. I can also use the "oven" pans, 1st pic as plates or whatever. The oven in the 1st pic can be used stovetop, if you use a small wire trivet to elevate the food in smaller insert (pan).

   
   

I gave my pressure cooker oven away to a woman living out of a large cardboard box. I showed her how it works & explained that if she heated up rocks, she could put them in it & have a heater. She cried.

I just bought one of these:


It's an Israeli 'Wonder Pot' (actually, a modern version made in Italy). They were a staple in Israel from the 50s to the 70s, when most people didn't have ovens. It's a lot like the Omnia, but deeper. It was also a fraction of the price, so I jumped at it. It's due on Wednesday, and I can't wait to try it!
