what are the common file types that the smart phones use for pictures? what are the common file sizes?i will enlarge the file size allowed and see if that make posting pictures easier

My min is 2.1MP.
My guess is, in 6 months the new phone will have a min of 3MP.
In 6 more months, ... Well, you can see how it trends!

this is what it says for jpeg/jpg,the 500 at the bottom is kb and is the factory setting i can change

I phone 4s photos are around 2mb but sometimes a bit larger so 3mb works for me. I just used paint shop pro in the past to get them under 500kb

^^ What he said. My IPhone 5-S is a 3-4 mp camera but I have no idea what size the jpeg images are. I could put them on CRVL before without a problem.

sent vandwellermod at crvl a pm asking what they have them set to

the thing is the attachments are stored on the sites server so the acumalative effect could cost me a pretty penny but if people cant post pics there's not much of a site

searched the mybb stuff and couldnt find a recommended setting

they didnt get back to me so trial and error time

i changed it to 2mb so can the phone people go into their settings and make the pixels/mb/size smaller and try to post some pictures here and come back if it lets you,if this doesn't work i'll keep make the file size larger until it does
