Someone called the cops again

I was out surfing when I saw someone doing circles around my Van, and knew.

As I was getting out of the water, I saw the uniforms, and quickened my pace.

When i got up there the indignant woman was saying how Fiona was in panting excessively. 

 But she was not.

I've seen Fiona overheating.  The signs of an overheating dog are obvious, and she was nowhere near that.  Right now at night and 80F degrees she is panting just as hard as she was midday at 90F.

If she looked distressed it was because a stranger was standing in front of the window revelling in her own fabricated indignation

i have two highly visible thermometers, and very loud fans, and while the digital thermometer was reading 91F, when I opened the door, the temperature rose 1.5f, indicating it was actually cooler in my van than outside it.

The uniforms saw this, saw Fiona was no where near the highly distressed dog that the highly agitated woman who was revelling in her indignation, kept repeating over and over.  She did not want to leav e the van, but I took out her ball and she jumped out and barked and was wagging her tail all ready to chase it, when i pointed inside and told her to go back in and she pobeyed instantly

The uniforms apologized and told me to have a nice day as they left, and the woman stormed off all pissed off that I wasn not being fined or arrested.

I am not really sure what more i should do to prevent the doogooders from calling the cops.  i thought highly visible thermometers would do it.  I could add more fans, but they are not going to cool the interior any more than my existing fans.

I have a perch on my passenger seats armrests so Fiona can look out the window and which makes her highly visible to passers by if she chooses to reside there.  I guess iwill have to take it down so she is not so visible, but she  love the view and orbbing it from her seems cruel.

I have all the other windows blocked and insulated.

Tomorrow I am going to leave her in a friend's back yard, which will likely be 10 degrees hotter than my highly ventilated  van parked over the ocean.

I am really growing to intensly dislike summer. Summer crowds, heat, tourists, self righteous indignant doo gooders,  all make me like my dog all that much more.
