see it's not that the price of gas has gone up but the value of the dollar has gone down,when there is more of something is it worth less

Keystone XL is not online, so cancelling that project cannot affect current pricing or deliveries.

It's winter, every year natural gas pricing goes up at this time, when demand for heating goes up. Vehicle fuels go up in summertime.

This can be hedged by owning shares of oil and/or gas royalty trusts. Prices go up and the dividends go up, prices drop and so do the dividends. Do your own due diligence.

The devaluation of the Dollar is why the stock market keeps going up, real value of companies doesn't changed much, just the price in dollars changes, adjusting upwards for worth less dollars.

The Federal Reserve prints trillions of dollars whenever the banks get in trouble, as they did again early in 2020. Almost had another Global Financial Crisis, like 2008. Rumor has it that the current epidemic was able to distract attention from yet another financial meltdown resolved with free dollars for the Banks.
