Poly iso will crush if you walk on it greatly reducing it's ability to insulate your tootsies..
1/4" isn't much insulation to start with.reducing it won't work too well.
In one of my truck campers I used some 2" foam covered with 1/4" plywood that worked ok as long as I didn't jump up and down
Do you have anything covering those cracks where the wall pieces aren't closing together ? Even just tape would seal 'em up , better than nothing...?
I have pretty good luck with small carpet remnants that are sold at various places like Dollar Tree , Wally's , the local carpet place etc. . Hallway runners are great for RVs too. Measure your floor spaces and go -a lookin' for those sizes.....
Removable , washable , replaceable and best of all , disposable ,,, move them around wherever you need 'em.
You can just put one outside that gets a doggie spot marking session .
You can double or triple them up for extra insulation under your feet when sitting somewhere too.
I have two or three in front of my chair and also in front of my sink/stove.
EPS or XPS (expanded polystyrene AKA styrofoam) is a bit more structural and a bit cheaper than poly iso.
I've been lining cabinets with insulation for years and keeping cabinet doors open , closets too .
The air circulation helps prevent condensation on the walls in there as well as mold ...
That pin may be replaceable with a cotter pin and you'll never lose one again after you bend up one leg of it.
Give Q and the boys some scratches and put your feet on the big one after tricking him with one of those throw rugs under your feet. skuh kuh kuh kuh Yuz just gotsta improvise !
