Sternwake, thank you, it is a little long winded doing strip build kayaks roughly 200 hours but I find it relaxing same as fishing.
As for surf boards after trying out I came to a rapid conclusion that I'm better sitting in a craft than trying to stand. With boat building it took me quite some time fussing and fiddling and accept the 5' rule and get on with the project. Just finished my 1st skin on frame build but haven't tested yet to see I float or swim.

I have long enjoyed your informative posts elsewhere and missed when you left, so it was a great pleasure to find you here
