Off grid staying cool???

One nice thing about being home is that the house stays reasonably cool. When I first built it, it was dug back into a rise, and bermed over, and stayed remarkably comfortable year 'round. A design flaw (oopsohshit) revealed itself about 25 years ago, resulting in major flooding in the spring, so added another half a story. Still keeps pretty well, about 78 or 9 in the worst heatwaves we get here. Ed basks in the heat. Me, well, not so much. At all. Got sunstroke bringing in hay about 30 years ago, and that ruined me.
