I hardly ever post on sites anymore as most sites seem to become active with a few regulars that have similar ideas, been there a long time, herd together, support each other and are usually not that welcoming to those that are culturally different. Most sites won’t allow political discusion so the community never really gets to know anybody. I think when a community can;t exchange ideas no one grows from the relationships so I don’t see a point to engage. Vandwelling has been covered pretty thoroughly over the last decade and there is already plenty of data in e land on the subject. These sorts of forums may have seen their peak unless it is a forum on something new the information is out there and most people know how to find it so there is not really a need to ask that many questions anymore. So if the intention is creating a community of active members we have to exchanges of ideas, at times they will be heated, but that is all part of what communities do so I think forums like this have to allow political debate or there will be no drama and things will be too dull to bother loging on.
