This info is a bit dated (2003-2007) but may still apply....
I had both on my class A.(3 speed w/reverse)
The Maxx company made an "empty" cover for other brand fans which I put on my Fantastic .
They both worked well and moved a LOT of air , especially with both running....(1800 cfm is a small tornado coming in through a single window )
The Maxx fan developed a squeak and no response from their cust service after 3 tries .
A problem with the Fantastic ? , a new part was sent immediately for free by the mfg.
(I heard that Fantastic was sold and cust serv may have changed along with that...probably but not saying it has without checking )
SO , it's a tossup which is better now.
Get one with a cover if you can . For physical protection as well as a rain cover.
The cover should be designed with enough air flow ability so it doesn't restrict the 900 cubic ft a minute of airflow these things are capable of.
Reverse is the only other feature that I would feel is must have .
(I can show anyone how to wire a DPDT switch to achieve reverse on a fan without that feature ..)
