sizing down and solar
#1
My first build was an Iveco Daily LWB, high roof, 6 solar panels permanently fixed to roof, inverters, charge controllers, multiple batteries, fridge, large custom made bed that fold down from wall, washing machine dryer, diesel heater under floor, simple shower tub, LPG gas tank cooker, 12 volt water pump, curtain, porta potti, lived in that for 3 years full time, traveled many countries.

Now I am in a much smaller Vauxhall Vivaro 2016, rock n roll bed, portable folding solar panel, small jackery that charges during driving, LPG gas tank heater, porta potti, folding shower tub, 12 volt pump, water container that i pick up hot water from a tap during travels.

Once you have lived with large vehicle you can decipher what is essential. The only main difference is folding bed sheets inside a large vehcile or folding bed sheets outside in a smaller vehicle.

For others, his link has many pictures of his van, measurements, etc.

very cool read from your post.
we went small from a tent then upgraded bigger and bigger til that day we said screw this, and downsized we went.
we would go smaller but for 2 of us married, hot damn we must have some private space, we ain't that all in cuddle type and fused at the hip so our 'smaller downsize' can't ever be lower than a 30 ft rv box. We NEED that bit of space definition but if just me, omg how small would I go....darn small.

sounds like you fit you easily into your life on the road and older we get, literally, we want less. we find 'less is more' hits on SO MANY levels it is crazy Smile More power to ya!! As life changes for us our mobile life on the road should change too!
