i'm thinking again so watch out
thinking about getting a 4x8 sheet of whatever and cut off my delamed bubbled with hairline cracks roof off and fiberglassing in a new one, also would give me a chance to put some proper insulation in,but lots of work
then again
might just get a couple gallons of rubber roof coating
anyone have experience with the coatings? would need a nice thick one,off white or light tan preferably

I just had my whole van pained with Rhino liner and then painted with basic Chevy white. It was starting to look derelict as my gelcoat was coming off. I don't have to worry about desert pin striping anymore.

That is what the spray car wash is for. The real downside is they estimated it added about 250Lbs to the rig. All the doors and such sure feel more solid. I haven't really got it out yet to see if it is a sound deadener also.

Black tank....
I have had bedliner (textured) on my rig for 5 years. Nothing sticks to it except more bedliner.
Have yet to need to wash it....nothing sticks.

I painted the fiberglass hightop on my van with an elastomeric roof paint about 5 years ago. I scuffed it real good before putting on two coats. It was pretty rubbery feeling for almost a week till cured out. It has held up well but the sheen has turned to flat white now. Still looks good though and I'm happy with it. It was in the $50/gallon range and did two coats with over a quart left over. Henry's was the brand if I remember right and got it at HDepot.

I've been trying to remember that name all day mudbunny !
I guess that icon pic on your post is showing the white roof is the Henry's ?
Almost tried it on my rig but was worried it might not be compatible with the pro flex I've been using and didn't want to be stuck with a can of paint IN the rig..
The pro flex is $19 a quart ! I ended up just buying a few more qts...(and it's clear....)
stay tuned
